For your information............. Circumcision

Hey guys I remember a couple of weeks back we were talking about Jewish religion and the reason why they circumcise the young boys.
In world religions we have recently looked at Judaism and found out that:

• At eight days a male child is circumcised (known as Brit Milah) as a covenant sign with God. It is a sign of obedience which is celebrated with family and friends surrounding the eight day old boy.

Many medical facts attest to the advantages of circumcision for cleanliness and lowered cancer rates. Medical science has also demonstrated that the eighth say after the birth is a prime time for clotting of blood. But despite these practical reasons, the basis for the Brit is to carry out the command of God in the covenant He made with Abraham to set aside a people for himself.


We then talked about female circumcision in Islam. Its not actually biblical, its a cultural thing within some part of the Islamic culture.

Very weird..... but extremely interesting!!!
